Depending upon the service used, AstroPine may collect information such as:

Information may be used to:

• Create and manage user or astrologer accounts;
• Generate Kundli, horoscope or other requested astrological outputs;
• Facilitate consultations between users and astrologers;
• Process bookings, payments and refunds;
• Provide customer support;
• Authenticate users and prevent fraud or misuse;
• Improve website/app functionality and user experience;
• Communicate service-related information;
• Comply with applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements; and
• Send promotional communications where permitted and subject to applicable consent/opt-out requirements.

Because AstroPine provides astrology-related services, users may voluntarily provide information such as their date, time and place of birth.

This information may be used to generate charts, Kundli, horoscope calculations, compatibility analysis and other requested astrology services, or to enable an astrologer to provide a consultation.

AstroPine may facilitate communication between users and independent/approved astrologers available on the Platform.

Information necessary to provide the consultation may be made available to the astrologer selected by the user.

Astrologers will be required under AstroPine's separate policies/agreement to handle user information responsibly and only for authorised purposes.

Payments for paid services may be processed through a third-party payment gateway selected by Krishanambari Ventures LLP.

AstroPine may receive transaction-related information such as payment status, transaction/reference number, amount and refund status.

Sensitive payment authentication information may be handled directly by the relevant payment provider according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Information may, however, be shared where reasonably necessary with:

• The astrologer chosen by the user;
• Payment gateway/payment-processing providers;
• Hosting, cloud, communication and technical service providers;
• Analytics/security/fraud-prevention providers;
• Professional advisers where appropriate; and
• Government, regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.

Service providers should receive only the information reasonably required for their function and be subject to appropriate contractual/data-protection safeguards where applicable.

AstroPine may use cookies or similar technologies for functions such as keeping users logged in, remembering preferences, security, performance measurement and understanding how the Platform is used.

Where legally required, users should be given appropriate information and choices concerning non-essential cookies.

A separate Cookie Policy provides additional detailed information on cookie categories and preference management.

AstroPine will use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.

These may include access controls, secure communications, authentication mechanisms, restricted administrative access, security monitoring and other appropriate safeguards.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework requires reasonable security safeguards and contains provisions dealing with personal-data breaches.

Personal information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where retention is required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or other legitimate compliance purposes.

Where applicable, users may request deletion/erasure of their personal information, subject to information that AstroPine must lawfully retain.

The retention schedule is aligned with AstroPine's database architecture and statutory compliance requirements.

Where personal-data processing is based on the user's consent, the user should be able to withdraw that consent through the mechanism provided by AstroPine, subject to applicable law and processing already lawfully undertaken.

The notified DPDP Rules contemplate mechanisms through which a Data Principal can withdraw consent and exercise relevant rights.

Persons below 18 years of age should not create accounts or purchase consultation services without verifiable parental or guardian authorization as contemplated under applicable laws.

AstroPine may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, payment services, social-media platforms or other services.

Those third parties may have their own privacy practices. AstroPine is not responsible for third-party privacy practices beyond the extent required under applicable law or contractual arrangements.

Some technology, hosting, analytics or other service providers may process information outside India.

Where cross-border processing or transfer occurs, AstroPine will handle it subject to applicable Indian law and any restrictions or requirements notified by the Government under the DPDP framework.

Where permitted, AstroPine may send users information about services, articles, offers, consultations or platform updates.

Users should be provided an appropriate mechanism to unsubscribe or opt out of promotional communications at any time via email or account settings.

Service-related communications necessary for operating an account or completing a transaction may still be sent where appropriate.

AstroPine may update this Privacy Policy when its services, technology, business practices or applicable legal requirements change.

The latest version will always display its “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy page.

Where required by law, users will be appropriately informed of material changes.
